On behalf of the team at ABAL Banking I hope you, your family and loved ones are safe and well during this ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation that we are facing not only here, but around the world.
As you may be aware, our Sydney branch, located on Pitt Street, has been temporarily closed to walk-in customers for the last month, and customers have been asked to make appointments prior to visiting.
It is with great excitement that I inform you of some official changes to our operations in Sydney's CBD.
In line with our strategy of continuing to enhance our service and better align ourselves with our customers’ needs, we have conducted a review of all our branch locations, accessibility and banking convenience. In conducting this review, and consistent with the progressive banking needs of our customers, our Sydney branch will be permanently re-located to a nearby banking suite at our ABAL Head Quarters on Level 7/20 Bridge Street, Sydney (inside the Australian Stock Exchange Centre).
We recognise the importance of a centrally located branch and believe that this official re-location allows us to continue to provide our services in an efficient and convenient manner, whilst also addressing the need for specialised and niche banking services for our Sydney CBD customers.
What will change? We can assure you it isn’t much!
- Online banking has undeniably changed the way many financial institutions operate within Australia, and this is something we recognise will continue to evolve over the years. To this extent, walk-in branch banking will not be available once we have re-located. However, we appreciate that many of our clients have a personal preference of visiting their branch when doing their banking, so we will continue to have a dedicated Customer Service Representative available to meet with you in our Sydney Banking Suite on Bridge Street, by appointment. Here’s what you need to know about making an appointment:
- Appointments to see our customer service staff in our Sydney Banking Suite on Bridge Street are now available. The final day of operation for our Pitt Street Branch is 18 September 2020.
- Appointments can be made by contacting our Sydney Banking Suite directly on (02) 9377 8942 from Monday - Friday between 9:30am and 4:30pm, or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Upon setting an appointment, you will receive a confirmation email advising you of the details for your meeting with an ABAL Customer Service Representative.
- Our Sydney Banking Suite will not accommodate for cash related transactions. This includes all Australian dollar and foreign currency cash related deposits, withdrawals and cash cheques. For customers who require access to cash, ATM withdrawals can be made using an active ABAL Visa Debit Card. If you wish to apply for a Visa Debit Card, please contact a Customer Service Representative for steps on how to apply. For large cash withdrawals, cash deposits or any other cash related transactions, please visit one of our alternative NSW branches located at Rockdale, Parramatta or Bankstown.
Access to our online banking platform, abal.online, is available to all ABAL Banking customers and can be arranged by getting in touch with a Customer Service Representative. We also encourage existing online banking customers to download our mobile banking app, abal.mobile, to keep up to date with your accounts.
