Our Charity Golf Day was held on Friday 27 November 2020 and despite the incredibly challenging year 2020 has been, the result of our Golf Day demonstrated that it is times like these which really brings out the best in people.
ABAL Banking and our Corporate Event Partner, Construction Consultants, are proud to announce that this year’s Golf Day raised $49,415, and with a token contribution from ABAL Banking rounding the total figure to $50,000 for the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Charlie Teo Foundation.
At the start of our planning, SCHF presented the below two options to fundraise for:
- Fellow at $15,000
Fellows provide expert care for patients, whilst also increasing their skills in a specialised field. They help develop diagnosis methods, increase cure rates, reduce side effects of treatments and improve long-term outcomes.
- High Flow Humidifier at $9818.60
This is a vital piece of equipment essential to deliver humidified oxygen at a high flow rate to critically ill children. High Flow (Oxygen/Air) therapy is a treatment for children who need quite a large amount of support with breathing. The humidifier provides crucial heating to bring the higher than normal flow of oxygen up to body temperature. This heating is what assists the child to tolerate such a high flow of gas up their nose. The high flow oxygen/air often provides a pressure which helps to keep the lungs open.
With a $25,000 contribution to each charity, your generosity has allowed us to fund both the above requests from the SCHF, and to contribute liberally to the brain cancer research efforts currently underway by the Charlie Teo Foundation.
Neither the funds raised nor the day itself could have been possible without the aid of our generous supporters. Once again, we are very thankful for the generous support of our Corporate Event Partner, Construction Consultants and our key sponsors for the day:
Polo Shirt Sponsor - ETHAN
Trophy Sponsor - ASL
