Arab Bank Australia uses a range of security measures in relation to Internet Banking to assist in protecting your personal and account information from unauthorised access. Your privacy is protected by the same high security standards used throughout the Australian banking industry. All Internet Banking transactions between Arab Bank Australia and our customers are encrypted using high security 128 bit SSL to ensure the utmost protection of customer information. In addition, all our computer systems are specially protected to prevent any unauthorised entry through the Internet. Your PasswordTo access the Internet Banking Service, you need your Internet ID and Password. We will provide you with an Internet ID and confidential, temporary password once we have received and processed your application. Your Password is like any other Personal Identification Number (PIN) and helps protect the security of your information. You must therefore keep your Password secure and confidential to you. Please note, under no circumstances will Arab Bank Australia request your PIN/password in an email, or by any other means. If you have received any communication requesting your PIN/password, please contact us immediately on 1800 646 484. To ensure your Password is protected from unauthorised use, we have established some password criteria that you must comply with. These criteria are detailed on the "Using this Site" page which can be viewed here.
As an additional security check, whenever you change your password or instruct our Internet Banking staff to generate a new password for you, an email is sent to the email address you supplied us with indicating that your password is changed. If at any time you suspect that the security of your Password has been breached or your Password has been lost or stolen, you must ensure that your Password is changed immediately. You must also immediately notify Arab Bank Australia of the suspected breach. Arab Bank Australia can then cancel the password and arrange for you to enter a new one. If you unreasonably delay notifying us, your possible loss as a result of unauthorised transactions on your linked accounts may increase. Your ComputerFor your security, the Arab Bank Australia Internet Banking Service is set up to automatically log off the user and end the session if there has been no activity for 8 minutes. However, you should always remember to properly log out or exit the Internet Banking Service as soon as you have finished using it or if you are leaving your computer unattended so as to ensure that others cannot access the Service and your personal and account details. Please remember you are also responsible for your own PC anti-virus and security measures to help prevent unauthorised access via the Internet Banking Service to your personal and account details and transactions.
