Important information for all Arab Bank Australia customers – 28/7/2009

Arab Bank Australia Internet Banking customers are advised that spam (hoax) emails are being circulated that appear to have been sent by Arab Bank Australia. These emails attempt to trick you into visiting a fake bank website or providing your personal information such as your login and password.

If you have, or believe you may have inadvertently responded to or activated any link or attachment within the email – please contact the Bank as soon as possible on 1800 64 64 84.

To ensure that you are always dealing with Arab Bank Australia, please follow this advice:

  • Always access Internet Banking by typing www.arabbank.com.au into your web browser, never by following a link,
  • Arab Bank does not send emails of this type – so please always ignore any email or other communication to the contrary,
  • If you receive an email or view a website that is suspicious and you are concerned about the site's authenticity, stop and call for assistance on 1800 64 64 84.
  • Always keep your browser, operating system, anti-virus and firewall software up to date.
