Did you know that you can apply for a new account online through Arab Bank Australia's website, and have your identification verified not only at an Arab Bank Australia branch, but also at one of the thousands of Australia Post outlets around the country?
Arab Bank Australia is pleased to announce its new identity checking service where Australia Post can perform the identity checks for new account applications on the Bank’s behalf.
The process is relatively straightforward and involves our customer completing a form with their name, address and date of birth. Australia Post then check these details against the customer’s proof-of-identity documents (such as a driver’s licence). This identity checking service can be performed over the counter at more than 3,300 Australia Post outlets nationwide.
Australia Post is one of the country’s largest and most reputable organisations, employing over 35,000 people, and having the largest retail network. Australia Post has been conducting passport interviews on behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) since the 1980s, and handles 100-point identity checks on behalf of 39 financial institutions.
